Eye Health Information Officer


Salary: ??31,148 – ??36,099 including London Weighting. Future potential up to ??40,505 inc LW
Hours: 36 per week
Location: London

RNIB is the leading UK charity for people with sight problems. Our telephone and email based eye health information service is expanding. We are looking for a new team member to provide information to the public on all medical aspects of sight loss.

Our enquirers are as varied as their questions and you’ll need excellent verbal and written communication skills to make sure that they receive the information they are looking for in an easy to understand way. As well as being comfortable answering telephone and written enquires from all types of enquirer when your experience of dealing with people at a difficult time in their lives will be invaluable, you will also be responsible for the writing, updating and development of RNIB information on eye conditions and their treatments.

Knowledge of eye conditions and health services from the patient’s perspective is essential along with an ability to research complex medical conditions and make them easier to understand.
