We are looking for a Health Evaluation Consultant to work in our Health Information Department.
This is a 1 year fixed term contract.
Details of the role
The National Awareness and Early Diagnosis Initiative – NAEDI – is a public sector/third sector partnership between the Department of Health, National Cancer Action Team, and Cancer Research UK. The role of NAEDI is to co-ordinate and provide support to activities that promote the earlier diagnosis of cancer. As part of delivery plans for the initiative, Primary Care Trusts (PCTs) are invited to bid for up to ??100,000 to run campaigns and other community based interventions targeted at breast, bowel and lung cancer. This is an exciting time to join our organisation. As a Health Evaluation Consultant your role will be to provide expert evaluation advice and support the PCTs, running social marketing and other community based campaigns. A consultative role, you will build strong working relationships with the PCTs and ensure that they are supported in progressing against a national evaluation framework. You will report, at regular intervals, on the impact of the NHS activity to improve the early diagnosis of breast, bowel and lung cancer. About you
With demonstrable experience of Health Evaluation and preferably social marketing and communications experience you will have experience of managing relationships and providing advice in a consultative way. Ideally you will have a good understanding of the challenges involved with progressing health strategies and have experience of working in a multi-stakeholder environment. About us
