Job Description

Breakthrough Breast Cancer is a pioneering charity saving lives and changing futures, through research, campaigning and education – removing the fear of breast cancer for good.

We are seeking a Health Service Improvement Project Officer to join our Health Services Improvement and Influencing Team. You will be responsible for implementing key elements of Breakthrough???s Service Pledge for Breast Cancer campaign, a tool designed to enable breast cancer patients and healthcare professionals to work together towards achieving better local breast cancer services. Working with healthcare professionals and patients you will co-ordinate the delivery of the Service Pledge campaign at a number of hospitals across England.

Excellent organisation and planning skills are essential, as is a passion for patient and public involvement in improving breast cancer services. The ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and having the confidence to work with external audiences at all levels is vital. A working knowledge of breast cancer and the NHS and a good communicator and networker, you will be able to produce clear and coherent reports and communication materials for a range of audiences.

In return, we offer 25 days annual leave in addition to all UK bank holidays, plus all working days between Christmas and New Year, a generous pension scheme and a Cash Health Plan.
