This one came to me via one of the umpteen other mailing lists I signed up to last year – I think it was from Reed.co.uk. Looks good – I don’t think I’ve posted much from Imperial College, though given that they run a Masters course in Science Communication and related courses I think I should look there a bit harder for jobs information.

This one’s more suited to someone with an interest in energy.

An excellent opportunity to lead the communications function at the influential UK Energy Research Centre, based at our HQ which is hosted by Imperial College in South Kensington, London.

The position is nominally 21 hours per week/ 3 days and covers a period of maternity leave.  The planned start date is 2 August for a period of 9 months, with a possible extension.

The appointee will demonstrate strong communications experience within organisations and to external audiences.  Experience of supervising staff is expected and highly desirable; the position is supported by a full-time Communications Assistant.

The candidate will need to be self-motivated, focused and able to manage multiple projects. S/he will have the drive to lead the implementation of communications strategy, playing a vital role in raising the Centre???s profile while keeping up to speed on issues relevant to the dynamic field of energy research and policy.
