JDRF Research_Communication_Officer_2010__1_.doc
I first heard of this via NFP Resourcing but the info was a bit circumspect as to exactly which organisation was involved. It was a bit of a fiddle to check from my iPhone but @MillaKarvonen sleuthed it out for us, so here it is – I think there’s another one to come from Alzheimer’s Society as well.

JDRF is the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation – their focus is on people with Type 1 diabetes and they are a global charity funding research into diabetes. One of my favourite non-research things that they did was to create Rufus and Ruby, ‘the teddybears with diabetes’ which went into space http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/1872429.stm
