|Although this is admin-heavy (and let’s face it you can rarely escape admin!) the job description looks pretty scicomm as it includes bits about updating the website and extranet.
For any new bit of charity medical research that gets funded someone needs to write something to go on the website, or for the fundraising teams to use – from experience the ‘information about this grant for a non-specialist audience’ section of the application form is rarely copy / paste-able and needs extensive tweaking and de-jargoning. An awful lot of people in medical research charities talk about research to non-science specialists in non-science contexts so it’s important to have people who can translate science into English.
