Editor, Heart Matters Magazine Programme – 6 Month FTC
Do you want to manage a magazine that is read by over a million people? Do you want to help empower individuals to change their daily habits and live healthier lives? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Editor to join our Heart Matters team and really make a difference looking after our magazine programme, including our flag ship title, Heart Matters.
Heart matters is packed full of interesting real-life stories, tips and practical information. It???s for all those who want to know their statins from their stents; are interested in building physical activity into their daily life and looking for healthy recipes to try. And it???s about living life to the full despite living with or being at risk of heart disease.
Working closely with our contract publishing agency, you will direct the magazine and commission content. Our ambition for this title knows no limits so you’ll need proven experience of writing and editing health information for the general public, a good knowledge of health care issues relating to CHD and good practice within heart health issues, lots of creativity and excellent team management skills in order to deliver the next three outstanding issues.
N.B. This post is a short term contract to cover sabbatical leave from December 2010 to July 2011.
