In your role as Senior Science Communications Officer, you will be responsible for delivering inspiring information about Cancer Research UK`s portfolio and the impact of our research to external audiences. You will take responsibility for writing copy for a range of resources as well as marketing and evaluating these resources effectively. You will to seek opportunities to communicate our research in a new and engaging way. You will also be responsible for liaising with our research funding departments to access the latest information about our research and key strategic initiatives. About you
To join us, you`ll need to be a confident, positive and solutions-focused individual with excellent project and time management skills. You will be an excellent writer and have a talent for translating complex science into plain English through a range of online and offline media. And you will understand audience needs and have enthusiasm for communicating to our supporters, the media and the general public. A strong science background is essential, ideally to PhD level or equivalent. And a good knowledge of the cancer field is highly desirable with the enthusiasm to keep up to date with this ever-changing field and our research portfolio. About us
