Representing over 25,000 physicians worldwide, the RCP???s role is to ensure that physicians are educated and trained to the highest standards, enabling them to deliver care that is of the highest quality.
The RCP produces a range of publications, including working party reports; clinical guidelines; Commentary, our member magazine; and Clinical Medicine, our peer-reviewed journal, which is read by members and fellows of the RCP as well as a growing international audience.
We are seeking a managing editor to manage and develop the RCP???s journal, taking a proactive approach to improving its profile and influence as well as increasing its visibility and growing its readership globally.
The managing editor will also manage the print and online versions of other serial publications, which will include driving the growth of online discussion forums and other interactive member content.
The role involves responsibility for developing new products and revenue streams and ensuring that the RCP takes advantage of opportunities using new technology, responding to the changing needs of our member and non-member audiences.
The managing editor is responsible for line managing and supporting three members of staff and for ensuring that content meets the high editorial standards of the RCP, furthers the organisation???s strategic objectives, and supports the RCP brand.
