Are you an experienced writer/editor who can consistently meet demanding deadlines?

Do you have a passion for communications and want to work to improve the lives of supporters and people with dementia and their families?

Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading charity for people with dementia and those who care for them and we’re looking for an exceptional person to take responsibility for the production of our monthly membership magazine (10 editions per year) and developing its strategic direction. This is a key position within the organisation and requires first-class writing skills, strong interpersonal skills, excellent time management skills, an interest in improving the lives of people with dementia and sensitivity to their needs.

You will have excellent journalism or writing experience – in particular reporting on health and social care issues – experience in writing personal interest stories and managing line reports, freelancers and budgets. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.

Interview dates: Tuesday 12 and Wednesday 13 July 2011
