HOURS OF WORK: 41 hours (gross)
In this role, you will devise, co-ordinate and deliver an annual programme of activity that both supports the visitor number and admissions income objectives for Kew. The programme will provide an inspiring, delightful and thought provoking interpretative experience that helps engage visitors in our vision and mission and encourages return visits. The role will also involve writing and obtaining organisational sign off for an inspirational 5 ??? 7 year visitor programme and a 5 – 10 year interpretation strategy to effectively support the visitor programme and delivery against that programme to meet visitor income and satisfaction targets. We want our programme to be benchmarked against industry best practice and bring in leading edge thinking from the world of visitor engagement and interpretation.
You will provide creative leadership to ensure that the Engagement team delivers an inspiring public programme. You will also lead, influence and consult widely across the organisation to gain buy in. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to really shape the visitor experience here at Kew.
You will have a degree, or equivalent, in a relevant subject, strong and creative leadership skills, excellent project and production management skills, a good knowledge of interpretation development and delivery, with both strategic planning expertise and a practical hands-on delivery background. You will also have excellent communication skills, including excellent written and spoken English, and strong IT skills. We would welcome applications from across the visitor attraction spectrum.
