I’ve posted a couple of jobs (now closed) from the Royal Academy of Engineers recently which you can have a look at here.

Note that the email sent to the psci-com mailing list said that the salary was £27 to £29k so it’s probably expected that the starting salary is the lower one, but it’s up to you to argue your case for it to be at the higher end of course 🙂

Assistant Manager, Public Engagement
Salary: up to £29,000 p.a.

Engineering holds the key to some of today’s greatest challenges, including climate change, energy security, the provision of food and water and improvement of human health and wellbeing.

The Academy’s vision is to put engineering at the heart of society. To help achieve this vision we need to engage the public with engineering and its impact on society through a wide-ranging programme of activity.

We are looking to appoint an Assistant Manager who will play a pivotal role in the public engagement work of the Academy. The successful candidate will:

  • Manage and administer the Academy’s public engagement grants scheme, Ingenious

  • Assist in the production and management of public engagement events.

  • Support other public engagement activities.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative and highly organised Assistant Manager with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, who will be able to demonstrate their keen interest in public engagement with science and technology. Previous experience of working in a funding environment would be advantageous.

This post is based at the Royal Academy of Engineering in central London and will report to the Head of Communications and Engagement.
