The British Lung Foundation is the only UK charity working for people affected by lung disease through research, education, support and care. Over the last 25 years we have developed programmes to support improvements in all areas of respiratory medicine, from funding world-class, independent research to pioneering end-of-life care programmes.
The Editorial Executive reports to the Editorial Manager and is responsible for editing and designing Breathing Space, the BLF???s quarterly membership magazine and managing reviews of the BLF???s health and social care information under the Department of Health???s Information Standard scheme. The role will also support the Editorial Manger in editing, designing and publishing other BLF online and offline materials.
To be successful in this role you will need to be an excellent writer and editor, who is organised, assertive and flexible. You will need strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team. You will also have a good attention to detail and experience of publication layout using Adobe Creative Suite (Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat).
You will be a self-starter, able to demonstrate initiative and the ability to juggle multiple projects. You will also have proven experience of commissioning external companies to deliver design and print projects.
