Research Fortnight and Research Europe are the leading, independent sources of news, comment, analysis and data on research policy for the academic research community. Published fortnightly on alternate weeks each is essential reading in universities, funding agencies, government departments, and the big research charities.

We have an opening for a creative and committed editor to take responsibility for our externally commissioned content ??? in print and online.

This is a rare opportunity to work with and publish a constellation of talent. Our contributors include writers, analysts, politicians and policymakers, university vice-chancellors, entrepreneurs, campaigners and of course researchers from the UK, Europe and beyond.

Applicants must have between five and seven years of experience as a writer, reporter, or editor; at least three years of which needs to be on a periodical read by specialists and professionals. Also essential is an impressive contacts book in research or policy and a passion for the detail of policy and politics.

You will be based in our offices in Shoreditch, London, working alongside an inspirational team of writers, editors, researchers and data analysts.

Interested? Please send a covering letter, CV and two relevant samples of your own written work, or two comment/analysis articles that you have commissioned and edited. They could be from a journal, newspaper, magazine, website or blog.
