Arthritis Research UK currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Policy Manager to work with the Head of Policy & Public Affairs to develop and promote evidence-based policy positions in priority areas; respond to relevant consultations; and to work with the team to determine the most important priorities and focus areas.

Salary: competitive from ??38k per annum
Hours: 35 per week
Position type: Permanent

The successful candidate will:

  • Be educated to degree level and/or can consistently demonstrate degree level outcomes

  • Have recent experience of working within public policy areas and playing a significant role in development of policy and policy positions.

  • Have significant experience of developing policies and working with and successfully influencing policymakers and influencers.

  • Have experience of communicating policy development at all levels.

  • Have a strong knowledge and recent experience of working within health and social care policy areas ??? leading the development of policy and successfully influencing policymakers and influencers in this space.

  • Have a high level understanding of the NHS, health and public policy issues, and ideally medical research issues.
