I’m gradually noticing that more science communication jobs seem to have something like this in them, as this one does “Experience of using social media, including Facebook or Twitter, for an organisation” – vaguely interesting.

 A Communications Officer is required in the Press Office at this postgraduate institution to support the School’s Media Manager, within the recently established Department of External Relations. The post holder will assist in a variety of activities which are central to this internationally renowned institution. Applicants must have excellent organisational and communication skills, along with knowledge of Windows applications, electronic mail and the internet.

The salary will be in the range of ??30,915 – ??35,511 per annum, inclusive.  Benefits include 30 days holiday allowance, pension scheme, interest free season ticket loan, and access to social facilities.
