About the role
If you are a passionate and creative science communicator, this is your opportunity to join the UK???s largest charity and help it to achieve its ambitious goals by informing and inspiring staff and supporters about the research that we fund. You will be responsible for delivering creative and engaging copy about the Charity???s research portfolio to meet the bespoke needs of fundraising teams, helping leverage more income and build deeper supporter relationships.
As well as researching and translating science content for fundraising teams, you could also be involved in training staff to talk confidently and passionately about the research that we fund and delivering presentations about our research to staff and supporters.
To join us, you???ll need to be a confident, positive and solutions-focused individual with excellent motivational and interpersonal skills. A passion for communications and the ability to inspire others with energy and enthusiasm will help you work alongside our fundraisers, scientists and supporters. A good knowledge of the cancer field is desirable with the enthusiasm to keep up to date with this ever-changing field. You will be an excellent all round communicator (verbal and written), with a proven track record in communicating complex science to a range of non-scientific audiences. And you will understand and have enthusiasm for the communication needs of successful fundraising and marketing activities.
