We are seeking to appoint an Education Officer to help develop our education engagement strategy. The successful candidate will be expected to disseminate information about the Society???s work, engaging teachers, students and our Fellowship, and monitor and evaluate this work. The role holder will have a proven record of development and delivery of a programme of targeted outreach and engagement activities; the position requires an individual with a keen interest in and knowledge of the life sciences. Knowledge of the biology curriculum at all levels is essential, with some teaching or outreach experience preferable. A knowledge of science education policy is beneficial, as well as some experience working with educational and scientific professionals at different levels. This position is a two-year, part-time contract and has the potential to be mainly home-based.
