The Academy of Medical sciences is currently recruiting a Communications Officer. As a fixed term, 1 year contract, the position will provide an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in developing a career in science communication. The focus for the role will be to assist in the development and implementation of a digital communications strategy for the Academy, particularly a new website and associated social media activities. The role will also involve the coordination and delivery of press and media communications activities to publicise the Academy’s work.

Working as part of a small team the Communications Officer will be involved in the design and production of reports and publications, the delivery of corporate events and activities to promote dialogue about medical science.

We are looking for a practical, focussed, proactive and confident individual, a quick learner who is able to apply their skills to new challenges. Ideally someone with a year’s experience in a relevant role or a recent graduate who can show similar experience gained during their studies.

Salary c??22,000
