Asthma UK is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and professional Health Promotion and Information Officer to join our Services team on a fixed term contract.??

The main purpose of the job is to support the Health Promotion Manager in the production and promotion of health information resources for people with asthma and healthcare professionals.

The main responsibilities will include preparing health information, managing stock of printed materials, managing new health promotion interventions, identifying and evaluating opportunities to promote core messages and information and providing advice on communicating educational messages to different audiences in relevant settings and in an appropriate way.


The successful candidate will hold a relevant health qualification or have the equivalent work experience and be computer literate on MS Office and Outlook. You will have excellent communication and writing skills in order to produce materials, including, but not limited to, online and printed resources, to empower people with asthma to understand and make informed choices about managing their condition. Experience of producing health information for a variety of audiences and communities, together with a solid understanding of how to communicate health information to audiences with varying degrees of health literacy would be beneficial. A basic understanding of Asthma is desirable.
