Information & Research Manager

Salary up to ??28k
Birmingham city centre

CLDF is an ambitious national children???s charity based in Birmingham.?? We are looking for a innovative Information & Research Manager who can make a big difference to the provision and development of CLDF???s information and research programmes and ultimately improve the lives of families affected by childhood liver disease.?? Is this you?

The principal objective of the role is to manage, develop and deliver an effective information hub and CLDF???s research portfolio.

Key aspects of the role: ??

  • To be responsible for responding to UK wide medically based enquiries
  • To manage the review and development of patient (particularly resources for children aged 5 ??? 12) and parent resources and literature
  • To be responsible for developing CLDF???s profile and relationship with professionals and professional bodies
  • To take part in off site families and young people???s projects, one day themed projects and residential events, as required.?? Some weekend working will be required throughout the year. ??
  • To contribute to the outward promotion of CLDF and thus requiring sound customer care skills

You will need to be an energetic, enthusiastic, self-motivated, IT literate team player with strong inter-personal skills who can demonstrate success and experience in delivering projects and services to families.?? You will need to demonstrate a thorough understanding and knowledge of the essential components of delivering public information programmes through a range of channels including digital media, thorough understanding of the delivery of healthcare in the NHS and managing and communicating a research portfolio.??

Benefits:

  • Salary up to ??28k, dependent upon experience
  • 20 days annual leave?? increasing by 1 day per annum to a maximum of 25 days
  • Death in service benefit ??? twice annual salary
  • Contribution to pension scheme of up to 4% annual salary, subject to conditions, after one year of employment

Previous experience of managing an information programme is essential
