Policy Manager

The Academy of Medical Sciences is seeking a talented and experienced policy professional to lead its international policy activities (e.g. influencing European policy for health and research; responding to global health challenges; and ensuring international researcher mobility and capacity building) and to contribute across its portfolio of policy projects. The postholder will work closely with the Academy’s Fellows and other experts to drive forward the Academy’s policy agenda.

The ideal candidate will have an excellent knowledge of policy issues in clinical and biomedical science at UK, European and international level. They will have knowledge and experience of the policy-making process in relation to biomedical research and health; the ability to work with experts to develop positions that can set the policy agenda; experience of managing and delivering projects; excellent communication skills and a proven track record of developing successful networks, relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
