Job Description
Breakthrough Breast Cancer is more than a name. It’s a force. A force of thousands of people across the UK working together with a single-minded ambition to stop women dying from breast cancer. In short, we are determined to create a future free from the fear of breast cancer.
This is a key role to prepare accurate and engaging information about Breakthrough’s research outcomes and impact for use in fundraising applications and reports, in Breakthrough communications and to increase staff awareness of research. You will develop expert knowledge of Breakthrough’s research to support its wider communication. You will have project management experience from a research or scientific environment, and have experience of disseminating research findings.
A post-graduate degree in a relevant scientific discipline is essential and experience in writing both scientific and lay information preferably in a medical or scientific environment would be desirable. You will also play a critical role in working with fundraisers so it is expected that you will be a confident and accomplished communicator with good interpersonal skills.

In addition to all UK bank holidays, we offer 25 days annual leave plus all working days between Christmas and New Year, 1/2 day on Christmas Eve, a pension scheme and a cash health plan.
