Job overview
This is a part time three-year post in science communication. The appointed person will contribute to re-search and/or practice in science communication.

The person appointed is expected to engage actively in research and/or practice in science communica-tion and to contribute to the wider profile of the Science Communication Unit at National and Interna-tional level. The particular focus of this post will be to engage with academic and research staff in other research institutes and centres in the Faculty of Environment and Technology in order to discover and develop opportunities for collaborative projects; engage in joint bidding in order to secure external fund-ing for these projects, and then contribute to the management and successful delivery of these exter-nally funded projects.

Key selection criteria        Applicants with practical or research expertise related to science centres/museums, science festivals or other face-to-face science communication projects are particularly welcome.

Salary band            £30,424 – £36,298
Full time/part time        Part time
