Communications Adviser – Dementia Action Alliance

Dementia affects over 800,000 people in the UK alone and numbers continue to grow. The Dementia Action Alliance (DAA) is the coming together of over 230 organisations committed to transforming the quality of life of people living with dementia.
The Alliance Secretariat is hosted by Alzheimer’s Society, one of the leading support and research charity for people with dementia, their families and carers.
In the last 2 years Alliance members have committed to over a thousand actions to improve the lives of people with dementia. They have also undertaken substantial programmes of joint work to reduce the inappropriate prescription of antipsychotics and improve hospital care.
We are looking for an experienced communications professional to provide a high quality communications service to raise the Alliance ’s profile, promote its aims, activities and interests and the work of its members in fulfilling the National Dementia Declaration. The successful applicant will have experience of both digital and traditional media.
