I’ve posted a few jobs over Easter weekend in case you’ve missed them, you can scroll through them at https://scicommjobs.wordpress.com – I’ve timed this post to appear on Tuesday morning at 11am as I thought more people might see it then 🙂
Informal Learning Manager ref ILM
£28,000 – £30,000 per annum.
37.5 hours per week, normally Monday – Friday; however there will at times be a requirement to work 5 days in 7, some evening work and occasionally some travel.
This is a job share with another ILM and is a temporary post, to cover a sabbatical. The contract is for a minimum 6 months, but could extend up to 9 months.
The Informal Learning Managers (ILMs) are responsible for managing At-Bristol’s Informal visitor programmes, focusing predominantly on families, toddlers, informal learning groups, and adults. The ILM will be responsible for management and development of the Live Lab, Studio and Planetarium learning spaces, plus informal outreach activities in At Bristol’s outdoor spaces and further afield.
We are looking for a confident person with a passion for science communication, who also has experience of working in informal science education or public engagement. The successful candidate will have experience of managing a team, managing projects and budgets, and creating innovative and meaningful learning experiences.
This role is integral to At-Bristol’s Learning team; coordinating the development and delivery of educational programmes and special funded projects which contribute to At-Bristol’s mission of ‘making science accessible to all’.
