We are seeking to appoint a Research Information Officer in the Research Support Unit within the Academic Services Department, which is based on the Old Brompton Road in South Kensington. The post-holder will support our research strategy by assisting with the preparation of the ICR’s submission to the Research Excellence Framework 2014, producing timely and accurate management information, identifying and disseminating research funding opportunities, and assisting with research grant applications. To do this, they will work on the development of our management information systems.
Applicants should have a good honours degree in the medical or biological sciences and experience of management information collection, analysis and dissemination, and the production of high quality reports to deadline. The post would suit someone who enjoys working with data, has some experience of the academic research environment and is looking to move into a university administration role. Excellent IT skills are essential as well as being able to deal confidently with senior academic and administrative colleagues, working well within a team and the abilities to prioritise and manage a varied workload, and demonstrate initiative.
The post is full-time and the salary will be in the range £26,985 to £32,492 p.a. and will be based on relevant skills and experience. The post also benefits from a generous annual leave entitlement and pension scheme.
