Digital internship

Pulse – the leading provider of news, education and advice for GPs – has a vacancy for a full-time, paid six-month internship working on our website, www.pulsetoday.co.uk.

The role is predominantly a digital content management role, although there may be some potential for occasional writing.

You will be assisting our Digital Content Manager in preparing email newsletters, shooting video for the site, and uploading and optimising articles and other online content.

We’re looking for an intelligent and enthusiastic graduate who wants a break in journalism and has a particular interest in online publishing.

You will have journalism training or experience, together with strong written and IT skills. Key skills/experience include:

– understanding of content management systems

– knowledge of Dreamweaver or HTML

– experience of shooting and editing digital video (preferably Final Cut)

Some experience of working on websites, knowledge of the health service and a scientific background would all be an advantage but are not essential.
