Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity. Our vision is a world free from dementia and our mission is to conduct world-class research to prevent, treat and cure dementia. The Science Communications Team at Alzheimer’s Research UK is responsible for explaining and promoting dementia research to the public, as well as engaging researchers with the work of the charity. The team promotes the charity’s latest research findings through the media and Alzheimer’s Research UK’s website and blog and comments on breaking dementia news stories from across the globe. They produce health information booklets to inform the public about dementia and develop new ways to raise awareness of dementia and the progress that can be made through research.
Applications are invited for a full-time Science Communications Officer to coordinate the communication and publicity of our research programme to all audiences and to engage with our Research Network of over 750 scientists. Reporting to the Science Communications Manager, they will work closely with the Science Communications and Research teams as well as supporting other teams across the organisation.
