Job description:  Energydesk Researcher & Reporter_Applicant Pack

Salary:  London living wage £8.80 per hour
Closing Date: 20 February, 2014 – 10:00
Interview Date: 27 February, 2014 (All day)

Greenpeace UK is currently looking for an intern to assist with the continued development of its Energydesk news site.

We need someone who can dig deep into global and UK energy and climate issues but is also comfortable monitoring and responding quickly to breaking news, working efficiently and accurately.

You’ll be a budding energy researcher or investigative reporter, who can originate and develop original research or data-led stories on energy and climate change, whilst maintaining journalistic standards. You will assist in finding guest bloggers and pursue your own investigations.

This role would be perfect for someone who is undertaking or has just completed a relevant post-graduate qualification and is looking for specialist journalistic experience or research experience in an NGO.

It is our aim to provide a valuable learning experience for our interns. The appointed intern will receive training in research and writing from an experienced journalist along with an opportunity to receive and provide feedback both during and after the placement.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate their support for, and belief in, the aims of Greenpeace and be able to commit to the full period of the internship.
How to Apply:

For further information about the internships and how to apply, please download an Applicant Pack below or alternatively email recruitment.uk@greenpeace.org to request one.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate their right to live and work in the UK for the duration of the internship.

Greenpeace are unable to cover the costs of travel or relocation to London, or provide help with finding or funding accommodation.

As we receive a large response for available opportunities, we are unable to respond to those applicants who have not been shortlisted and we apologise for this in advance. If you do not hear from us within a week of the closing date, please assume that you have not been shortlisted.
