Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading support and research charity for people with dementia, their families and carers. There will be 850,000 people with dementia in the UK by 2015 with numbers set to rise to over 1 million by 2025.
We are looking for a creative and dynamic Media Officer to join our talented Regional Media team. You will be responsible for raising the profile of Alzheimer’s Society and increasing public awareness and understanding of dementia in London.
Working within the Regional Media team, you will plan and deliver our media activity in London. You will work collaboratively, as part of the area management team, to promote the life changing work of the Society and engage with staff and volunteers, at all levels, to deliver cross-organisational campaigns.
As a communications and media specialist with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, you will be expected to work largely on your own initiative, co-ordinating regional projects and managing volunteers.
