We are seeking a Science Communication and Public Engagement Officer who will be joining an enthusiastic team tackling major infections of people and animals in the UK and Globally. You will lead external and internal communications, including web, social media, brochures and reports. In addition, you will help researchers secure grant support for Public Engagement and Widening Participation and co-ordinate a programme of public engagement events and activities. We are looking for an excellent communicator, who has the ability to interpret and absorb quickly new information and procedures to make an effective contribution to raising the Institute’s profile and increasing its visibility and reputation. Work will be varied and requires a confident self-starter with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast paced environment. You should have a degree (or equivalent qualification or relevant professional experience).
