Science Communication Position
The Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research at the University of East Anglia is recruiting a Communication Officer to help to maintain and further the Centre’s excellent reputation for high quality and interdisciplinary research.
Managing the external communications of the Tyndall Centre, you will help to maintain and further the Centre’s excellent reputation for high quality and interdisciplinary research and its relationship with external audiences; identify new opportunities for engagement, and facilitate the cohesiveness and branding of the Centre across and within its host institutions and researchers. In addition, you will support the day to day management of the Centre, with operational and strategic input into the coordination of the activities of Tyndall UEA and the wider Tyndall Centre.
You will have excellent written, verbal and visual design skills; experience in science communication and preferably a communication or environmental sciences degree; experience in the use of social media, the production of publicity material, and in explaining scientific research to a variety of audiences.
This full time, fixed term position is funded initially until 30 September 2017.
Part time job share (salary pro rata to full time) and secondment arrangements will be considered.
